Before Set Up
Before you set up Swept Payments, you will want to make sure your “Locations” and “Clients” are set up. For further information on setting these up, check out the following articles:
Setting Up WePay Merchant Account
A merchant account allows you to collect credit card payments from your clients using Swept Payments.
Log in to the Swept web app and go to "Payments" in the left hand menu.
Click on "Enable Online Credit Card Payments" then follow WePay's prompts to create and confirm your account.
IMPORTANT: You will need to confirm your account.
- If you do not confirm your WePay account within 14 days, you will no longer be able to receive new payments.
- If you do not confirm your account within an additional 14 days, the payments received will be refunded back to clients.
Once your account is confirmed, Swept Payments will show "Payment Account Confirmed" in green.
You are now ready to set up your first payment request!
