Managers and supervisors are able to set up Swept Payments.

Before you set up Swept Payments, you will want to make sure your “Locations” and “Clients” are set up. For further information on setting these up, check out the following articles:

Setting Up WePay Merchant Account

A merchant account allows you to collect credit card payments from your clients using Swept Payments. 

Swept offers payments through WePay, Inc. ("WePay"), a third-party payment processor. In order for you to use WePay's payment processing services, you must register with WePay as a merchant. The WePay Terms of Service explain the process, and are available here: https://go.wepay.com/terms-of-service-us. The WePay Privacy Policy is available here: https://go.wepay.com/privacy-policy. By accepting this agreement with Swept, you agree that you have reviewed the WePay Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the country in which you are located, and agree to them. If you have questions regarding the WePay Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, please refer to the WePay website at www.wepay.com or contact WePay at https://support.wepay.com/hc/en-us.

Log in to the Swept web app and go to "Payments" in the left hand menu.

Click on "Enable Online Credit Card Payments" then follow WePay's prompts to create and confirm your account.

IMPORTANT: You will need to confirm your account. 

  • If you do not confirm your WePay account within 14 days, you will no longer be able to receive new payments.
  • If you do not confirm your account within an additional 14 days, the payments received will be refunded back to clients.

Once your account is confirmed, Swept Payments will show "Payment Account Confirmed" in green.

You are now ready to set up your first payment request!
