Schedule your cleaners and supervisors (beta) to shifts at assigned locations by using Swept's scheduling feature. In this article we discuss setting up a basic shift however you can set up various kinds of shifts including:

Who Can Add Schedules?:

Managers and supervisors (beta) are able to add schedules.

Before you add a schedule you first need to add a location. Learn how to add a location here: How to Add-Edit-Delete Locations

How to Schedule a Shift

  1. Log in to the Swept Website App and select "Schedule" from the left hand menu. When you land on this page, you will see filters.  These are to search existing shifts. 
  2. To create a new shift, click the green "Add Shift" button in the top right hand corner.
  3. Click under "Start Date" to update the start date of the shift.
  4. Click under "Start Time" to update the start time (the dropdown shows 30 minute increments. If you need different times click in the time field and delete the time and replace it with your own).
  5. Click under "End Date" to update the end date of the shift.
  6. Click under "End Time" to update the end time. The dropdown shows 30 minute increments. If you need different times click in the time field and delete the time and replace it with your own.    *** Start and end dates can be on different dates. For example if it is an overnight shift.
  7. Click the green "Add Cleaner" button to add a cleaner to the shift.
  8. A window will pop up. Check the check box by the cleaner or cleaners and click "Save".
  9. You can update the cleaners' hours within the shift start and end times by clicking in the start time and end time fields by the cleaner(s) and updating their hours as needed. As long as the times are within the shift time they will be able to be updated. This would be used in cases where cleaners may have different start and end times in a shift.
  10. Click "Save" to save the shift.

How Do I Edit A Shift?

  1. Log in to the Swept web app and go to "Schedule" in the left hand menu.
  2. Apply the filters at the top of the page to find the shift you would like to update.
  3. Click on the shift to open the scheduled shift.
  4. Make any necessary changes and click "Save".

How Do I Delete a Shift?

*** If you delete a shift it will be permanently removed ***

  1. Log in to the Swept web app and go to "Schedule" in the left hand menu.
  2. Apply the filters at the top of the page to find the shift you would like to update.
  3. Click on the shift to open the scheduled shift.
  4. Click "Delete" at the bottom of the page.
